WITH THE MESSAGE “Everything we plant with our hearts succeeds”, Radenska continues its green path this fall – planting forests in areas damaged by fires. In collaboration with the Boranka initiative and with the support of everyone who chooses Radenska, 10,000 new trees will soon sprout in the burned areas of Dalmatia.
“Our friends and everyone who chooses Radenska are the strength behind every seedling. They are the reason why we bring life back to the forests year after year. Because when you choose Radenska, you also choose nature – and everything we plant with our heart truly thrives,” Radenska says.
This autumn, Radenska and Boranka are working together to restore forest areas on Biokovo, in Seget near Trogir and around Šibenik. They will plant exclusively native tree species – oak, ash, pine, stone pine and cypress – in order to encourage biodiversity and natural balance.
Trees are our quietest, yet most valuable ally: they give us oxygen, cool the air, reduce stress, and provide shelter for many animal species. Every new tree planted means better air, more shade, and more life for all of us.
Since its inception in 2018, Boranka has gathered more than 12,500 volunteers and planted over 135,000 trees, while Radenska has planted more than 60,000 trees in Croatia in the last six years. Together, they show that new, green forests can be born from ashes.
Because the future we want to live in – we plant today. And we do it with our hearts.
Creative competition “With a heart for tomorrow”
Radenska doesn’t stop there – to continue the campaign, it is also launching a creative competition for elementary school students (grades 1 to 8) and their mentors. The aim of the competition is to encourage the youngest to express through their artistic creativity what trees and forests mean to them and how important it is to care for nature.
Students can participate in any art technique. Five finalists will have the opportunity to exhibit their works at Radenska headquarters, and all authors will receive awards.
The winner of the contest will win a Radenska package (backpack, t-shirt, and other gifts), a year-long supply of Radenska for their class, and the winner’s school will receive three trees that Radenska will plant on its school grounds.
